Children have unique health care needs and challenges. Our pharmacists are committed to working with families, children and health care practitioners to provide customized treatment options that meet children’s personal needs.

We understand that many children dislike taking medications. They may find the taste, texture or even smell objectionable. Some children may have to take multiple medications while others are afraid of injections. Our goal is to make it easier for children to take the medications they need to remain healthy.

Commercially available medications specifically for children are not as readily available as medications for adult. Our pharmacists can compound medications into forms that children actually enjoy. We can add pleasant, child-friendly flavors to lollipops, suspensions, concentrates, gummy candies, lozenges and even freezer pops. We can add bright colors to make them more appealing or provide dye-free alternatives for children with sensitivities. Transdermal gels are also available.

Medications in more appealing forms can reduce waste, increase compliance and simplify the process for even the youngest children and their caretakers. Because each medication we compound is made to precise specifications, we can adjust for virtually any need. We consider not only taste, smell and appearance but also uniformity, texture, viscosity and stability. In some cases, we can compound multiple medications into a single dosage form. We work closely with your child’s health care provider to ensure the best results possible.

Contact us today to learn more about how we can provide fully customized treatment solutions for your child.
